Beautiful Being!
May this new year bring you the closest you’ve been to your freedom song. May your visions take flight, and your dreams be grounded.
Welcome to our 2018 photographic retrospective. What a year, what a year for us all! Here is a little slice of all the good that came our way.
We graced over 50 stages across the U.S and Europe in 2018, reaching thousands of people along the way. Highlights includ presenting at universities and prisons alike, wall-less arenas under the sky, and traveling through Spain, Amsterdam, & Germany with an incredible cast of musicians, hitting the main stage at the National Bioneers Conference for the 5th time, island hopping through the Salish Sea with a crew of 10 musicians, an artist residency at Omega Institute, and opening & closing the year,
in our respective home turfs (N.Y. & L.A.),
alongside our sister and comrade Patrisse Cullors, co-founder of Black Lives Matter & author of the New York Times bestseller “When They Call You A Terrorist”.

We were honored to close out the year

performing on the world-renowned
TED stage alongside badass women leading the way in social change, arts, technology & design.
Tarana Burke
opened,
Stacy Abrams
closed, and in between was a constant swell of inspiration and
undeniable power.
Stay tuned for the release of the video in 2019!

Beyond making moves performing and facilitating workshops across
the country and globe, we’ve stayed devoted to our community activism with hands-on work through:
*
*
* Land reclamation &
regenerative
farming
*
Transforming trauma through healing with, by, and for
Black, Brown and Indigenous people
* Maintaining an online platform highlighting resilient
solutions
and grassroots victories
* Prison abolition
& youth mentor-ship
through hip hop
theater
* Anti-gun violence advocacy through large scale art.
